After studying mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich (2011) and obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Collège des Ingénieurs (2013) in Paris, Mr. von Bischoffshausen worked in strategy consulting at AFRY Management Consulting from 2013 to 2018. There, he focused on commercial and technical due diligence projects and market analyses, particularly in the field of energy and generation technologies. From 2018 to 2019, he also served as Chief Operating Officer of a technology-oriented company.
Mr. von Bischoffshausen joined our firm in October 2019 and advises national and international clients in all phases of the patent process – from developing intellectual property strategies and prosecution to the enforcement and defense of IP rights. Mr. von Bischoffshausen specializes in advising on complex engineering inventions and assists clients with the strategic development and long-term management of patent portfolios. His combination of technical and business education shapes his structured and commercially-oriented approach.
Mr. von Bischoffshausen was admitted as a German Patent Attorney in 2023 and as a European Patent Attorney in 2025.
